Osman Digna: was a follower of the Mahdi in Sudan, from Hadendoa tribe, Beja people. His birthplace is unknown; both Suakin and Rouen, France were said to be the town where he was born. When he was called Osman Ali, Osman Digna lived in Alexandria, Egypt, where he dealt in the selling of slaves. After the English forced him to quit his business, he took part in the revolt of Ahmed 'Urabi. After the failure of that movement at the Battle of Tel al-Kebir (September 13, 1882), he attached himself to the cause of the Mahdi.

Osman Nuri Pasa: was an Ottoman Turkish field marshal and the hero of the Siege of Pleven in 1877.Osman pasa was born into a prominent family (Yagciogullari) of the city of Tokat in Central Anatolia. His father was a civil worker. Soon after Osman's birth, his father was appointed to a position in the Ottoman capital, and the family moved to Constantinople, where Osman did his studies.

Osman Ahmed Osman: was a famous and influential Egyptian engineer, contractor, entrepreneur, and politician. Known commonly as el-mo'alim ("the teacher"), Osman founded the Arab Contractors (the largest Arab contracting firm between the 1960s and 1980s) and led the Egyptian effort to build the Aswan Dam. He went on to become the Egyptian Minister of Housing and Development and later a member of the Egyptian Parliament.

He made his debut for the national side on February 6, 2008 in a friendly against Paraguay thanks to his loan to Motagua.
