She was discovered by the late Inday Badiday and George Canseco who described her as having a Crystal Voice after they saw Marri in one of her gigs at Hyatt's Calesa Bar in the year 2000. She signed a contract under Star Records with first single was Alipin Mo Ako. The said album was not successful[citation needed]. Then she released her second album under Universal Records simply called Marri Nallos, Making Love Out of Nothing At All by Jim Steinman was the first single.
