Nicholas Anthony Buoniconti: a former American Football League and NFL Hall of Fame middle linebacker, who played for the Boston Patriots and Miami Dolphins.As a tackle, Buoniconti was the captain of the 1961 Notre Dame football team, but was considered by NFL scouts as "too small" to play Pro Football. Drafted by the Boston Patriots in the 1962 American Football League college draft and switched to linebacker, Buoniconti made an immediate impact with the Patriots, being named the team's rookie of the year. The following year he helped Boston capture the 1963 AFL Eastern Division title.

Nicholas Krushenick: was one of the forerunners of the pop art movement.Krushenick began showing his work publicly in New York in 1957, at the age of 28. By 1962, his work was shown at upscale galleries and, by the year 2000, was part of major permanent collections throughout New York and the United StatesIn 1969, Krushenick gave up his soft brush abstract expressionist technique for bolder colours and lines similar to illustration, yet maintaining use of abstract figurative forms. This style marked him as one of the original practitioners of pop art.

Cynthia Maria Nicholas: is a former athlete and former politician in Ontario, Canada. She served in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as a Liberal from 1987 to 1990.At age 16 she attained provincial fame by swimming across Lake Ontario in 15 hours and 10 minutes. She would later swim across the English Channel on 19 occasions, including the first two way crossing by a woman. She went on to complete a record 5 two way crossings (see below for list of successful two way channel swims) including 2 in one year, earning her the soubriquet Queen of the Channel. (The title now belongs to Alison Streeter who has completed 43 crossings). For her efforts, she was made a Member of the Order of Canada in 1979. In 1993, she was inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame and into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2005.

Mary Sandra Lovelace Nicholas: is a Wolastoqiyik or Maliseet Canadian senator representing New Brunswick. Sitting as a Liberal, she is the first Aboriginal woman appointed to the Senate. As an activist on behalf of First Nations women and children, she received international recognition in 1979 for bringing her case to the United Nations. In 1985 she succeeded in having Parliament revoke a discriminatory section of the Indian Act, which had caused women marrying non-Aboriginals to lose status and also deprived their children of status but did not treat men the same who married non-Aboriginal women.
