Thomas Patrick Reid: is a businessman and former politician in Ontario, Canada. He served in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1967 to 1984. Reid was born in Fort Frances, Ontario, and educated in Atikokan and at the University of Manitoba. He was first elected to the Ontario legislature in the 1967 provincial election, defeating Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario candidates John McKey by 41 votes. Reid identified himself as a Liberal-Labour candidate, and caucused with the Ontario Liberal Party. Reid was re-elected by comfortable margins in 1971, 1975 and 1977, and defeated Progressive Conservative candidate Jack Pierce by 426 votes in 1981. He was the last Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) in Ontario to be elected under the "Liberal-Labour" banner, although the distinction from the official Liberal Party was mostly symbolic by this stage. In some elections, he campaigned as a straight Liberal candidates. Reid was also the only Liberal MPP from Northern Ontario in the early 1980s.

Thomas Reid: was a Canadian businessman and politician in the province of British Columbia. During this time he was twice appointed head of the Union of British Columbia Municipalities. In 1930, Reid entered federal politics and was elected Liberal Member of Parliament (MP) for the New Westminster riding. He represented this riding for nineteen years. Reid was a founding member of the International Pacific Coast Sockeye Salmon Commission and served as chairman from 1937 to 1967. He became Parliamentary Assistant to the Ministers of Fisheries and of National Revenue in 1948 and in 1949 assisted the Minister of National Health and Welfare. In 1948 he was summoned to the Senate.

Scott Jeffrey Reid: is a Canadian politician. He has served in the Canadian House of Commons since 2000, and currently represents the Ontario riding of Lanark—Frontenac—Lennox and Addington as a member of the Conservative Party. Reid was first elected to the Canadian House of Commons in the 2000 federal election as a member of the Canadian Alliance. He narrowly defeated Liberal incumbent Ian Murray in the riding of Lanark—Carleton to become one of only two Alliance representatives from Ontario. After the election, he was appointed as Alliance critic for Intergovernmental Affairs (including official languages) and served in 2001-02 as the vice-chair of the Standing Joint Committee of the House of Commons and Senate on Official Languages. Reid was Stephen Harper's primary Ontario organizer in 2002, during Harper's successful challenge against Stockwell Day for the Alliance leadership. Reid was part of the five-person transition team that arranged for Harper to assume the leadership, following Harper's March 2002 victory.
