While at Minnesota, Jacobsen was most known for his tremendous vertical jump, ability to score quickly, and calm demeanor. As a high school player at Park High School in Cottage Grove, he finished eighth on the all-time leading scorers list in Minnesota high school history. In 2006-2007, Jacobson played in Andrea Costa Imola Basket, Italy (LegaDue). He was waived on December 2006.[citation needed]
