Josh Powell: is an American professional basketball player in the NBA, currently a member of the Los Angeles Clippers.After playing two years at North Carolina State University, Josh Powell was not selected in the 2005 NBA Draft, but signed a free agent contract with the Dallas Mavericks. While playing at NC State Powell averaged 12.4 ppg and 5.2 rpg in his sophomore year (2002-2003). After college, he played in the European leagues before declaring for the NBA Draft in 2005 where he went undrafted. However, he worked out for numerous teams and was eventually signed by the Mavericks who were looking for a power forward to develop behind star Dirk Nowitzki.
