Dodo Von Knyphausen: was a German nobleman from the Duchy of Prussia in the service of Brandenburg-Prussia during the reigns of Electors Frederick William and Frederick III. A government office to collect revenues in Brandenburg had been created in the 1650s, but it was not until Knyphausen's leadership in 1683 that this central revenues office achieved direct control over revenues from the various lands of the Brandenburg Hohenzollerns. In 1689 Knyphausen organized the creation of the efficient Geheime Hofkammer, or collegiate central control office, for Brandenburg-Prussia.

Aisin-Gioro Dodo: was a Manchu prince and military general of the early Qing Dynasty. His title was "Prince Yu of the First Rank" . Dodo was born of the Manchu Aisin Gioro clan, the imperial clan of the Qing Dynasty. He was the 15th son of Nurhaci, khan of the Later Jin Dynasty (precursor of the Qing Dynasty). His mother was Nurhaci's primary spouse Lady Abahai, who also bore Dodo's full brothers Ajige and Dorgon.

Rembert Dodoens: was a Flemish physician and botanist, also known under his Latinized name Rembertus Dodonaeus.In 1530 he started his studies of medicine, cosmography and geography at the University of Leuven, where he graduated in 1535. He established himself as a physician in Mechelen in 1538. He married Kathelijne De Bruyn(e) in 1539. He had a short stay in Basel (1542-1546). He turned down a chair at the University of Leuven in 1557. He equally turned down an offer to become court physician of emperor Philip II of Spain. He became the court physician of the Austrian emperor Rudolph II in Vienna (1575-1578). He then became professor in medicine at the University of Leiden in 1582.

Igor Dodon: is a Moldovan politician and leader of the Socialist Party of Moldova. He is a current member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and the former Minister of Trade and Economics in the governments of Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev and Zinaida Greceanîi, from September 2006 until September 2009. Dodon was appointed to the post of Associate Minister of Trade and Economics in May 2005. He assumed the position of Minister of Trade and Economics in September of the next year. He held the position until September 2009, when government of Zinaida Greceanîi ended. Dodon also held the post of Associate Prime Minister under Greceanîi from 2008 until 2009.
