    Hello Tripti,

Congratulations for your pregnancy and all the very best.

In last two month of pregnancy your baby has probably reached the 2 kg milestone by weight and measures about 44 cm. Your baby looks less wrinkled now as his/her skin gets covered with fat, He /She is probably in the head down position in your Uterus but may still continue to change positions.

Common problems in last 2 months are, most of the women report that much of the swelling in the feet and ankles disappears overnight or after several hours of rest in a lying down position. However, if the swelling persists for more than 24 hrs with your hands and face becoming puffy, contact your doctor as it could signal the beginning of pregnancy-induced Hypertension.

To ease this swelling, avoid standing for prolong periods, elevate your legs while sitting and include mild walking. Drinking lots of water will also help avoid excess water retention. Sleep while you keep your feet lifted by keeping pillows underneath to prevent swelling.

Medical problem during this period is ,If you experience severe headaches; temporary loss of vision or “spots or flashing lights’’ while in a resting position; severe Edema that has extended for about 2-3 days particularly in the face; abdominal pain and nausea, then immediately seek medical treatment. Because these are the signs of Preeclampsia which is, a serious complication of pregnancy in which you have high blood pressure, protein in the urine and experience swelling.

    Take care
