Wilson Rawls
Origin/Culture/Country: AmericanWilson Rawls: was an American writer best known for his books Where the Red Fern Grows and Summer of the Monkeys.He was born in Scraper, Oklahoma, in the Oklahoma Ozarks. There were no public schools in Scraper, so Rawls was home schooled on the family farm. He had little interest in reading until his mother bought him a copy of Call of the Wild by Jack London when he was ten. Rawls thus became a voracious reader and dreamed of writing a book.

This became the first of a quartet of novels, The Guyana Quartet, which also includes The Far Journey of Oudin (1961), The Whole Armour (1962), and The Secret Ladder (1963). He later wrote the Carnival trilogy consisting of Carnival (1985), The Infinite Rehearsal (1987), and The Four Banks of the River of Space (1990).

Kirwa belongs to the Kalenjin tribe.The Kenyan-born Wilson Kirwa moved to Finland in 1997, and in the same year, he started his career as a runner, with his main distance being 800 metres. He originally intended to only tour the country for a few weeks, invited by his Finnish friends. He was 17th in the "Hunajah÷lkkS" in Pori, even though he was wearing sneakers that were too large. Porin Tarmo requested a year's residence permit for Kirwa. He was also admitted into the SeinSjoki applied crafts school, which encouraged him to stay in Finland.
Wilson Pickett
Origin/Culture/Country: AmericanWilson Pickett: was an American R&B/Rock and Roll and soul singer and songwriter known for his raw, raspy, passionate vocal delivery. A major figure in the development of American soul music, Pickett recorded over 50 songs which made the US R&B charts, and frequently crossed over to the pop charts as well. Among his best known hits are "In The Midnight Hour" (which he co-wrote), "Land of 1,000 Dances", "Mustang Sally", and "Funky Broadway". The impact of Pickett's songwriting and recording led to his 1991 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.[1]
