During the 1821 Revolution, his family took refuge in Chisinau, Bessarabia, where he met Alexander Pushkin and became interested in literature.

He played 15 years for this team , scoring a huge number of goals in Liga I, 149. After this period he played his last years in Turkey , at Kayserispor, before his retirement.
