He was a midfielder for a number of clubs, most notably Persepolis F.C. as well as Iran national football team.He was a member of the Iran national under-20 football team at 1977 FIFA World Youth Championship. He played for Iran national football team at 1980 AFC Asian Cup, 1982 Asian Games, 1984 AFC Asian Cup, 1986 Asian Games.
