Right now being the Mexican president is unpopular, and when Enrique Pena Nieto met with Donald Trump it didn’t help anything. Regardless of the fact that he pledged not to help pay for the wall to separate the two countries.

However, many protested against the voting irregularities and media bias that were happening. In 2016, Pena Nieto was named one of the most powerful people in the world by Forbes magazine listed #54, which is down from being ranked #52 in 2015.
