He later sang alongside his father in Akele Hum Akele Tum in the year 1995, and then alongside Asha Bhosle in Rangeela where he also appeared on screen for the first time. He further gained popularity when he sang "Chotta Bachcha" in the 1996 film Masoom for which he also numerous awards, including the Screen award.
