Salomon Mikhailovich Flohr
Origin/Culture/Country: RussianSalomon Mikhailovich Flohr: was a leading Czech and later Soviet chess grandmaster of the early 20th century. He became a national hero in Czechoslovakia during the 1930s and his name was used to sell many of the luxury products of the time, including Salo Flohr cigarettes, Salo Flohr slippers and Salo Flohr eau-de-cologne. He dominated many of the chess tournaments of the pre-WWII years, and at one point looked to be a genuine contender for the World Chess Championship. Flohr was also a well-respected chess author, and an International Arbiter.
Salomon Kalou
Origin/Culture/Country: Salomon Kalou: an Ivorian football player, who currently plays for Chelsea and formerly for the Dutch club Feyenoord.He is a forward, but he is also capable of playing on the wing. He has a preference for playing on the left wing as this gives him opportunities to cut inside and take shots with his favoured right foot.AJ Auxerre coach Guy Roux wanted to sign him to unite him with his brother, and former Feyenoord Rotterdam player, Bonaventure Kalou. However, Kalou signed for Excelsior Rotterdam, Feyenoord Rotterdam's 'satellite club' Kalou scored 15 goals in 11 appearances for Excelsior in 2002–2003. He was 'promoted' to Feyenoord and played in the Dutch top flight for three seasons from 2003 to 2006.

He took 4th at Warsaw 1908 (Quadrangular, Simon Alapin won); took 2nd, behind Akiba Rubinstein, at Warsaw 1909; took 3rd at Warsaw 1910 (Flamberg won); tied for 4-5th at Sankt Petersburg 1911 (Stepan Levitsky won); took 4th at Warsaw 1911/12 (Rubinstein won); tied for 4-5th at Lódz 1912 (Efim Bogoljubow won); tied for 8-10th at Vilna 1912 (B tourn, Karel Hromadka won); tied for 4-5th at Sankt Petersburg 1913 (Alexander Evensohn won); took 2nd at Warsaw 1917.
Salomon Müller
Origin/Culture/Country: GermanSalomon Müller: was a German naturalist.Müller was the son of a saddler in Heidelberg. In 1823 Müller, along with Heinrich Boie and Heinrich Christian Macklot, was sent by Coenraad Jacob Temminck to collect specimens in the East Indies. Müller visited Indonesia in 1826, New Guinea and Timor in 1828, Java in 1831 and Sumatra between 1833 and 1835.
José Salomón
Origin/Culture/Country: ArgentinaJosé Salomón: He played club football for Talleres de Remedios de Escalada and Racing Club de Avellaneda and captained the Argentina national football team.Salomón started his career in 1934 with Talleres before moving to Avelaneda to play for Racing Club between 1939 and 1945.Salomón played a total of 44 games for Argentina[1] including 21 in the Copa América a national record he shares with Oscar Ruggeri. Salomón was part of two Copa América winning teams but his career was ended in the 1946 edition of the competition by a Jair Rosa Pinto tackle which broke his tibia and fibula sparking a riot and pitch invasion and fueling the Argentina and Brazil football rivalry.
