Jacqueline Cochran 
Origin/Culture/Country: AmericanJacqueline Cochran: was a pioneer American aviator, considered to be one of the most gifted racing pilots of her generation. Her contributions to the formation of the wartime Women's Auxiliary Army Corps (WAAC) and WASP (Women Airforce Service Pilots) were also significant.Known by her friends as "Jackie," and maintaining the Cochran name, she flew her first major race in 1934. In 1937, she was the only woman to compete in the Bendix race. She worked with Amelia Earhart to open the race for women. That year, she also set a new woman's national speed record. By 1938, she was considered the best female pilot in the United States. She had won the Bendix and set a new transcontinental speed record as well as altitude records (by this time she was no longer just breaking woman's records but was setting overall records). She was the first woman to break the sound barrier (with Chuck Yeager right on her wing), the first woman to fly a jet across the ocean, and the first woman to fly a bomber across the Atlantic. She won five Harmon Trophies as the outstanding woman pilot in the world. Sometimes called the "Speed Queen," at the time of her death, no pilot, man or woman, held more speed, distance or altitude records in aviation history, than Jackie Cochran.
Jacqueline Worms De Romilly 
Origin/Culture/Country: FrenchJacqueline Worms De Romilly: is a French philologist of Jewish ancestry.After having taught for some time in a school, she became a professor first at the University of Lille and subsequently at the Sorbonne (from 1957 to 1973). She was then elevated to the chair of Greek and the development of moral and political thought at the Collège de France — the first woman nominated to this prestigious institution. In 1988, she was the second woman (after Marguerite Yourcenar) to enter the Académie française, being elected to Chair #7, previously occupied by André Roussin. In 1995, she obtained Greek nationality and in 2000 was nominated Ambassador of Hellenism by the Greek government.
Jacqueline Leigh Kennedy Origin/Culture/Country: AmericanJacqueline Leigh Kennedy: was the wife of the 35th president of the United States, John F. Kennedy, and served as First Lady during his presidency from 1961 until his assassination in 1963. She was later married to Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis from 1968 until his death in 1975. In later years she had a successful career as a book editor.
Jacqueline Hill Origin/Culture/Country: BritishJacqueline Hill: was a British actress best known for her role as Barbara Wright in the BBC science fiction television series Doctor Who. As the history teacher of Susan Foreman, the granddaughter of the Doctor, Hill was the first of the companions to appear in the show in 1963. She continued to play the role for nearly two years, leaving the show in 1965 but returning for an appearance in the 1980 Doctor Who story Meglos, as the priestess Lexa.
