Jan Michael Van Breda Kolff: is an American former college and professional basketball player and college basketball head coach. The son of coaching great Butch van Breda Kolff, V.B.K., as he was referred to, played from 1975 to 1983 for the Denver Nuggets, Kentucky Colonels, and Virginia Squires in the American Basketball Association, and the New York/New Jersey Nets in the National Basketball Association. From 1970-74 he played for Vanderbilt University, and in 1974 he led the Commodores to a Southeastern Conference championship as SEC Player of the Year.

He is the father of film director Larry Peerce.The Jewish American tenor, Jan Peerce (birth name Jacob Pincus Perelmuth), grew up in the New York City streets, and attended De Witt Clinton High School and Columbia University. He took violin lessons, and gave public performances; sometimes he also sang and it was soon discovered he was an exceptional lyric tenor.

Miner played Madge for 27 years, and made the commercials in French, German, Danish and Italian. Jan Stenerud: is a Norwegian former football player for the Kansas City Chiefs (1967-1979), Green Bay Packers (1980-1983), and Minnesota Vikings (1984-1985) of the National Football League. Stenerud was one of the first professional football players to be used as a dedicated kicker, due to his excellent "sharpshooting" ball kicking performance.

Jan Murray: was an American stand-up comedian and actor who made his name on the Borscht Belt.Murray began performing on the vaudeville stage at the age of 18, then later at the Catskills resorts popular with Jewish vacationers. In the early 50's he became a Las Vegas marquee performer, then later segued into TV, going on to host a number of gameshows such as Dollar a Second (1953-1957), his creation Treasure Hunt (1956-1959), Charge Account (also known as The Jan Murray Show, 1960-1962), and Chain Letter. He was later a frequent panelist on The Hollywood Squares and co-hosted the annual West Coast Chabad Lubavitch telethon for many years.[1]
