He currently plays for UD Almansa after of plays the previous season for League One side Carlisle United.Aranalde began his career in Spain and had spells at minor Spanish clubs and professional clubs such as Hernani (1991-1992), Eibar (1992-1994), Sevilla in 1996, moving to Albacete in 1997 and Logroñés in 1999 before joining English Football League outfit Walsall on the eve of the 2000-01 season. Aranalde spent just under 5 full seasons at the Bescot Stadium, winning promotion via the play-off final in his first season
