Bader Al Kharafi – Kuwait Industry Leader

Bader Al Kharafi is on the executive committee and is the director of the family conglomerate called MA Al Kharafi and Sons Company. The company was established back in 1956 and now has 135 registered organizations that are in over 28 countries and is worth over $8 billion. In fact, the company was in many sectors, including trading and manufacturing, travel and leisure, construction, as well as, investments and development.

In 2012, Al Kharafi took over as the director of the executive committee, after his father died. Now Bader holds many high-profile roles in the business, as a board member of the Foulath Holding and Gulf Bank, as well as, a managing director and chairman of Gulf Cables and Electrical Industries.

Not only that but Al Kharafi was also elected the vice chairman of Zain Group, which is a giant telecommunications company that operates in 8 countries in North Africa and the Middle East. Then in 2014, Coutts a wealth division of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, announced that Al Kharafi was appointed to the Advisor Board in the Middle East. In 2016, he was named one of the 100 most influential young Arabs in the world by Arabian Business.

The masculine name Bader is a version of Badar, which mean “moon” in Arabic. The name is given to many notable people in the Middle East, like Bader Al-Nashi the former Secretary General of Hadas, which is located in Kuwait, from 2003 til 2009.
