After a British newspaper claimed that Cara Delevingne was too “bloated” to be a part of the Victoria Secret show in 2014, she spoke out. She was not bloated at all, in fact, she was just too busy to attend the show.
Delevingne went after the tabloid in a post on Instagram, where she shared a picture that was sent to her by the executive producer Edward Razek of the Victoria’s Secret's fashion show. The picture was captioned with the comment - “It’s shameless to discuss women’s bodies just to sell papers.”
The letter from Victoria Secret stated that everything the tabloid, The Sun, said was a complete fabrication. In fact, Cara Delevingne was the first model to be invited to take part in the show. The only reason that Delevingne was unable to attend the show in London was due to scheduling conflict, as she was shooting a film in North Carolina.
