Eric Lindros Is Inducted Into The Hockey Hall of Fame

It is no surprise to anyone that Eric Lindros is taking his place among the many great players in the Hockey Hall of Fame. However, it was a bit shocking seeing Lindros walking around with a look of wonder upon his face, scanning all the plaques of hockey’s greats.

While Lindros has been to the Hockey Hall of Fame before he has never actually stopped to look around. It was actually the first time he was taking a moment to look at all the plaques, from Howe to Gretzky, Lemieux to Yzerman, and so many more.

It was as if he was seeing the building for the first time, through the eyes of an honored member, besides men like Sergei Makarov and Pat Quinn. It was only a matter of time before Eric Bryan Lindros would wind up amount the NHL legends.

The 230-pound, six-foot-four beast of a man dominated hockey right from juniors and went on to win a best-on-best at the Canada Cup before he even got into the NHL. Besides the string of injuries, he has loved every single moment of playing hockey, from the Hart Trophy to the Olympic gold medal.

Eric Lindros has a Swedish heritage and his last name means “Rose of the Linden tree”. While the masculine name Eric is from the Old Norse name Eirikr, which is derived from the elements: ei that means “always or ever” and rikr that means “ruler”.
