Kerry Washington had a Baby

Nnamdi Asomugha and Kerry Washington have recently had a cute little baby boy. Everyone is wondering if he will be a little gladiator just like his mother.

Washington and Asomugha are excited to welcome their second kid, Caleb Kelechi Asomugha. The actress from “Scandal,” had the baby on October 5, 2016.

Kerry’s pregnancy was first noticed at the White House Correspondents Association Dinner. The couple is thrilled to welcome another child and will continue to raise their daughter, Isabell, out of the public eye.

In fact, the couple likes to keep their personal life to themselves, and does not share news like this often. However, Washington couldn’t help herself, as motherhood has been an amazing gift. She told the Los Angeles Times that she felt really blessed, in both her work and personal life.

The excitement doesn’t stop there, as there was some speculation that writers might have included her “baby bump” into the storyline of season six. However, Washington said that probably won’t happen, as the baby issue has been hidden on set.

The name Kerry can be either masculine or feminine and is taken from the Irish county name – Ciarraí – that means “CIAR’s people,” in Irish Gaelic. The name Ciar is derived from the Irish word ciar that means “black”.

The name has been given to many notable people, like Kerry Fox the New Zealand actress or Kerry King the guitarist of Slayer the thrash metal band, even Kerry Healey the former Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts.
