Leila George D’Onofrio is Sean Penn’s new girlfriend

Even though Sean Penn has been with Vincent D’Onofrio’s daughter, Leila George D’Onofrio, for a while, it only became official on the Red Carpet recently. The couple was spotted at the LACMA event in Los Angeles.

Sean Penn, 56, spoke at the event in regard to the Film Independent series. On his arm was Leila, 24, in a stunning bright red wig, supporting her man. In fact, Leila was seen wearing a hat that was in support of Sean’s J/P HRO charity.

Their romance has been in the headlines for about a week now after the two were seen making out in Hawaii. Leila George is from the Lifetime movie “Mother, May I Sleep With Danger,” starring alongside Tori Spelling and James Franco. Then co-starring with Franco in “The Long Road,” not long afterward.

The feminine name Leila is a variant of Layla, which means “night” in Arabic. The name was often the object of many romantic poems that were written back in the 7th-century by Qays the poet. The name became a popular romance story set in medieval Persia and Arabia – of the lovers Qays and Layla.
