Nadia Murad has been through it all, from losing her home to being kidnapped, raped and tortured. While she has lost many people close to her, seeing her mother murdered and the men in her family taken to be murdered in mass killings, she has not stopped fighting back against the genocide happening in her homeland – Yezidi.
Murad is speaking out against the horrors being inflicted by ISIS, demanding the release of over three thousand females that are being held in bondage. While the borders are being closed in Europe and the United States, refugees are looking to Nadia for help.

She has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize and has become the first “Goodwill Ambassador for the Dignity of Survivors of Human Trafficking of the United Nations”. Recently, Murad has been named one of the top 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine.
