Ore Oduba Dances His Way into the Top

Ore Oduba is currently involved in the fourteenth season of the show – Strictly Come Dancing – shown on BBC One. In the last episode of the 2016 series, Oduba got one of the highest scores for his “near-perfect jive.”

It seemed like Danny Mac from the dancing show was going to sweep the leaderboard once again. However, Oduba had the last dance and ended up finishing just one point away from the perfect score of 40 points.

Last week, Ore finished the show one point away from the lead but this week he took things to a whole other level. In a Sixties-inspired jive, he showed the judges what he was capable of with many kicks, flicks, swagger and a bunch of style that was all set to an upbeat tempo. The judges loved it and ended up rating his dance up at the top.

It looks like this years season will be an epic battle of the men for the title. It will be something to see with the amazing line-up on the show.

The name Ore refers to places that are called Oare, found in Kent, Berkshire, East Sussex and Wiltshire. The name comes from the Old English word ora, which means “shore,” “flat-topped ridge” or “hill-slope”. Some consider it to be a topographic name that is taken from the element – Ore.

While others believe that the name Ore is Greek in origin and is a form of the English or Irish name Orrin. The name Orrin means “man of the mountains” in Greek.
