Amalia Mendoza García: was one of Mexico's most famous ranchera singers whose career lasted over 40 years. She was nicknamed La Tariácuri after her brothers' group the Trio Tariácuri.After limited success as part of a duo with her sister Perla she struck out as a solo singer in 1954. Through the majority of her career she was accompanied by El Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán, and recorded numerous rancheras and boleros by José Alfredo Jiménez, Cuco Sánchez, José Ángel Espinosa, Gabriel Ruíz and Tomás Méndez.

Amalia Lindegren,: was a Swedish artist and painter, from 1856 a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts.Her drawings made the artist and art teacher Carl Gustaf Qvarnström include her as one of the four women accepted as students at the academy in 1849, and in 1850, she became the first woman given an art scholarship form the academy to study art in Paris, which she did at the studies of Coignet and Tissier; she also studied in Düsseldorf and Münich before she returned to Sweden in 1856, were she was elected to the academy.

During the Israeli War of Independence she served in the Negev Brigade of Palmach as a signals operator and wrote the famous telegram for the capture of Eilat.

There were 67 poems, some of which had simple melodies and a figured bass.[1]

Frederica Amalie Oldenburg, Princess of Denmark, was a daughter of King Frederick III of Denmark and his queen, Sophie Amalie of Brunswick-Lüneburg. Her father had been crowned king on 23 November 1648, about five months before she was born. She was married at Glücksburg Castle on 24 October 1667 to Duke Christian Albrecht of Holstein-Gottorp as part of a peace treaty between Denmark and Holstein-Gottorp, but the hostile parties continued to fight. The marriage was unhappy, with Frederica Amalia often tormented by the frequent disagreements between her brother, Christian V of Denmark, and her spouse. She was reportedly well known to be badly treated by Christian Albrecht, while the Danish royal family gave her all sorts of personal privileges and proofs of affection.
