Charly Coombes: is an English multi instrumentalist and vocalist. Currently living in Brighton, England. Coombes grew up in the Oxfordshire village of Wheatley but lived with his family in San Francisco, USA until the age of four. He was keyboard player of the band 22-20s, active from 2003-2006, that released one self-titled album and supported Oasis during their 2005 tour.

His ability earned him the nickname of The Angel of the Mountains in the 1958 Tour de France, which he won with four stage victories. He also won the Giro d'Italia in 1956 and 1959. Gaul rode best in cold, wet weather. In later life he became a recluse[2] and lost much of his memory.

He has 3 stage wins, 1 in 1990 (Stage 15 : Millau - Revel) and 2 in 1991 (Stage 11 : Quimper - Saint-Herblain and Stage 12 : Pau - Jaca).
