Gene Rayburn: was an American radio and television personality. Born Eugene Rubessa (pronounced [ru'be??]) and an only child of Croatian immigrants, he graduated from Knox College.reaking into television as the original announcer on Steve Allen's Tonight, Gene Rayburn began a long association with game-show producers Mark Goodson and Bill Todman in 1953. He first appeared on Robert Q. Lewis's The Name's the Same; Rayburn frequently sat in for regular panelist Carl Reiner. lending a comic touch to the panel. In 1955, he took over as host of the summer-replacement game show, Make the Connection, from original host, Jim McKay. From there he hosted shows such as Choose Up Sides, Dough Re Mi, and the daytime version of Tic Tac Dough (which, unlike the rigged nighttime version hosted by Jay Jackson, was "clean" and unaffected by the quiz show scandals). On radio, Rayburn became one of the many hosts of the popular NBC program Monitor in 1961 and remained with the show until 1973.

Gene Wood: was an American television personality, known primarily for his work as an announcer on various game shows. From the 1960s to the 1990s, he served as the offstage announcer on many Mark Goodson–Bill Todman productions such as Family Feud, Card Sharks, Password, and Beat the Clock. Wood also served as a host on the latter show, and on another show entitled Anything You Can Do. After retiring from game shows in the early 1990s, Wood worked as an announcer for the television channel Game Show Network, retiring from that later in the 1990s.

Gene Vincent,: was an American rock'n'roll pioneer musician.Vincent Eugene Craddock, born February 11, 1935, showed his first real interest in music while his family lived in Munden Point, VA, near the North Carolina line where they ran a country store. His father (Ezekiah Jackson Craddock) also volunteered to serve in the U.S. Coast Guard and patrolled American coastal waters to protect Allied shipping against German U-boats during World War II. His mother (Mary Louise) maintained a general store at Munden Point. However, Craddock's parents moved the family and opened a new general store and sailor's tailoring shop in downtown Norfolk, Virginia. Having spent his youth in the Norfolk, Virginia area, Vincent Eugene Craddock decided to pursue the freewheeling life of a sailor. He dropped-out of school at age seventeen and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1952.
