Heraldo Bezerra Nuñez: was a football (soccer) player who played for Cruzeiro Esporte Clube. He was also a Spanish citizen and played at the international level with Spain. He played against Turkey, in a 0-0 tie in 1973. He played together with Ayala and Garate in a famous forward line known as the three daggers. He played 99 games in the La Liga scoring 16 goals. He died in a car accident on March 14, 1977 in Argentina.

Heraldo Muñoz Valenzuela: is a Chilean politician and diplomat; and the current Chilean Ambassador to the United Nations.He co-founded the Party for Democracy (PPD) and participated in the executive committee of the campaign to vote "no" on a second term for Augusto Pinochet during the 1988 plebiscite. During the administration of Patricio Aylwin, Muñoz was made permanent representative for Chile to the Organization of American States, (1990-1994) and ambassador to Brazil (1994-1998) during the government of Eduardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle.

Heraldo Eduardo Rocha: is a physician and politician . Son of Octavio Rocha da Silva and Rocha Umbelina da Gama, and widower of Adila Costa Rocha, has three children: Fabio Cesar, Eduardo Santiago and Karine Rock. In 1991 he was elected state representative by the then Liberal Front Party (current DEM ) and was reelected in 1995 for another term. After graduating in 1995 to fill the position of Secretary of Labor and Social Action (between 1995 and 1998), was elected state representative for a third term :1999-2003. In 2002 and 2006, was re-elected again, then totaling up to five terms.
