Kelendria "Kelly" Trene Rowland: Torpey is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Jessica Buchanan on the ABC soap opera, One Life to Live, a role she played from 1990 until January 2003. Following her departure, the role was taken over by a virtual look alike, Bree Williamson.Unlike many soap characters, Torpey's character, Jessica Buchanan, was never SORAS-ed. After leaving One Life to Live, Torpey went on to play in the movies Dirty Deeds and Fierce Friends.She voiced the character of Princess Aurora (the sleeping beauty) for Disney 2007 direct-to-video DVD release Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams.

Kelen is the author of nine volumes of poetry and two novels.Kelen has been published widely since the mid nineteen seventies and in 1988 won an ABA/ABC bicentennial award with his poem "Views from Pinchgut".In 1992 The Naming of the Harbour and the Trees won an Anne Elder Award. Kelen was Writer-in-Residence for the Australia Council at the B. R. Whiting Library in Rome in 1996. In 1999 he won the Blundstone National Essay Contest, conducted by Island Journal. The Oxford Companion to Australian Literature describes Kelen's work as "typically innovative and intellectually sharp".
