Joseph Lavergne: was a lawyer, judge, editor and political figure in Quebec. He represented Drummond—Arthabaska in the Canadian House of Commons from 1887 to 1897 as a Liberal member. Lavergne resigned his seat in 1897 after he was named puisne judge for the Quebec Superior Court for Ottawa district. His brother Louis succeeded him as representative for Drummond—Arthabaska in the House of Commons. In 1901, he was transferred to Montreal district. Lavergne was named to the Court of King's Bench in 1906. He died in Montreal at the age of 74.

Armand Renaud Lavergne: was a Quebec lawyer, journalist and political figure. He represented Montmagny in the Canadian House of Commons as a Liberal member from 1904 to 1908 and as a Conservative member from 1930 to 1935. He represented Montmagny in the Legislative Assembly of Quebec as a Nationalist member from 1908 to 1916. His surname is given as "La Vergne" by some authoritative sources, including his National Assembly of Quebec biographical page, although these same sources spell his father's name as "Lavergne".

Louis Lavergne: was a Canadian politician.A notary by profession, Lavergne was first elected to the Canadian House of Commons for the riding of Drummond—Arthabaska in a 1897 by-election, after his brother, Joseph Lavergne, the current MP was appointed Puisne Judge of the Superior Court of the Province of Quebec. A Liberal, Lavergne was acclaimed in the 1900 election and re-elected in 1904 and 1908. In 1910, he was summoned to the Senate of Canada representing the senatorial division of Kennebec, Quebec on the advice of Wilfrid Laurier. He served until 1930.
