Allameh Ali Akbar Dehkhoda: was a prominent Iranian linguist, and author of the most extensive dictionary of the Persian language ever published.He was also active in politics, and served in the Majles as a Member of Parliament from Kerman and Tehran. He also served as Dean of Tehran School of Political Science and later the School of Law of the University of Tehran.[1]In 1903, he went to the Balkan Peninsula as an Iranian embassy employee, but came back to Iran two years later and became involved in the Constitutional Revolution of Iran.In Iran Dehkhoda, Mirza Jahangir Khan and Ghasem Khan had been publishing the Sur-e Esrafil newspaper for about two years, but the authoritarian king Mohammad Ali Shah disbanded the parliament and banished Dehkhoda and some other liberalists into exile in Europe. There he continued publishing articles and editorials, but when Mohammad Ali Shah was deposed in 1911, he returned to the country and became a member of the new Majles.

Hassan Mohammed Allam: was one of the pioneers of modern construction in Egypt.Hassan Allam was born in 1903 in the city of Port Said and subsequently moved to the Upper Egyptian town of Al Minya with his family. His father owned a small shop that sold construction materials including tiles and ceramics imported from Great Britain. He attended primary school but did not continue his education and joined his father's business instead.

After his young years at Apt (1994–1996) and Cavaillon (1996–1997), he become famous as a RC Toulon player (1997–2000), were he won the Cup of France Frantz Reichel, in 1998. He moved to RC Narbonne (2000–2003), and latter to Tarbes Pyrénées Rugby (2003–2004) and to FC Auch (2004–2005). After a season at FC Barcelona, in Spain (2005–2006), he moved back to France, were he played for Blagnac SCR[1]. He as just signed with the Doncaster Knights, in England.

Frédéric-Louis Allamand: was a Swiss botanist. Born in Payerne, Switzerland, he moved to Leiden, Netherlands in 1749 to live with his uncle, Jean-Nicolas-Sébastien Allamand (1731-1791). He started to study literature at the university of Leiden, however later changed to study medicine. 1760 he joined the Dutch marine as a ship's doctor. During his time at the marine he visited among other places Suriname and Guyana. Afterwards he became doctor at the tsar's court in St. Petersburg. 1793 he returned to Leiden to work at the university again. The date of his death is unknown, in 1803 he was last mentioned in a document of the university.
