Shiri Maimon: an Israeli pop singer, TV show host and actress, who rose to fame as the runner-up in the TV show Kokhav Nolad. She represented Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005.She released her first single, "Until You Understand Me". While working on her debut album, she was a presenter on a popular daily youth TV program in Israel, EXIT.[3] In 2005, Maimon took part in the Kdam Eurovision, the pre-Eurovision song contest at which Israel's national entry is selected, and was not the favorite to win. She won first place for her performance of HaSheket SheNish'ar (Time to Say Goodbye). Thus she became Israel's representative at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev.[4] She initially rebuffed suggestions that parts of the song should be performed in English.

Ada Maimon: was an Israeli politician who served as a member of the Knesset for Mapai between 1949 and 1955.A participant in its founding convention, she also served on the executive committee of the Histadrut trade union. In 1921 she was amongst the founders of the Women's Workers Movement, and was its secretary until 1930. In that year she estabished the Eyanot study centre in Ness Ziona.
