Binod Bihari Verma: was a Maithili littérateur by soul, medical doctor by profession and a defence officer by career. He is most noted for his pioneering work on Panjis, which are ancient genealogical charts, Maithili Karna Kayasthak Panjik Sarvekshan. He is also known for his depiction of rural poor of the Mithila region in his writings. During his lifetime, he worked as a medical officer in the Indian Army, as a lecturer in a Dental College, and as a Private Medical practitioner. He simultaneously carried on his literary works by independent publishing and in various magazines viz. Mithila Mihir and Karnamrit. He had command over a number of languages including Urdu, Sanskrit, Oriya, Assamese and Bengali and scripts of various Indian languages viz. old Maithili, Assamese, Gurmukhi, Oriya and Nepali.

Binod Kumar Das: a Nepalese cricketer.[2] A right-handed batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler,[3] he is the current captain of the Nepal national cricket team, having played for them since 2000.[4]Born in Kalaiya in 1983,[3] Binod Das first played for Nepal at Under-19 level, playing in the 2000 Under-19 World Cup in Sri Lanka. He played in the ICC Under-17 Asia Cup in Pakistan later in the year, before making his début for the senior side in that year's ACC Trophy in the United Arab Emirates.[4]

Binodini Dasi: was a Calcutta-based, Bengali-speaking renowned actress and thespian [1]. Born to prostitution, she started her career as a courtesan and at twelve she played her first serious drama role in Calcutta's National Theatre in 1874. Her career coincided with the popularity of the proscenium-inspired form of European theatre among the Bengali theatergoing audience. During a career spanning twelve years she enacted over eighty roles, which included those of Pramila, Sita, Draupadi, Radha, Ayesha, Kaikeyi, Motibibi, and Kapalkundala, among others. She was one of the first South Asian actresses of the theater to write her own autobiography.
