Augustin Barruel: was a French Jesuit priest. He is now mostly known for documenting the conspiracy theory involving the Bavarian Illuminati and the Jacobins in his book Memoirs Illustrating the History of Jacobinism (original title Mémoires pour servir à l'Histoire du Jacobinisme) published in 1797. In short, Barruel wrote that the French Revolution was planned and executed by the secret societies.

Augustin-Alexandre Dumont: was a French sculptor. He was one of a long line of famous sculptors, the great-grandson of Pierre Dumont, son of Jacques-Edme Dumont and sister to Jeanne Louise Dumont Farrenc. In 1818, he started studies at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris; he was a pupil of Pierre Cartellier. In 1823, he was awarded the Prix de Rome for his sculptures, and went to study at the French Academy in Rome.

Augustin Lesieux: was a French sculptor. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Arras from 1896 to 1899 and then at Lille before finishing his studies at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. From 1901 he worked in Rodin's studio. After the 1914-1918 war he worked on many monument aux morts and completed numerous other public works.
