Jean Marie Okwo-Bele: is an African poet; she was born in Tshofa, Kabinda District in the Belgian Congo on January 21, 1944. Albert S. Gérard calls her "the first poet of real significance" among a group of African writers who emerged in the late 1960s; she was also the first female writer in the Belgian Congo. She founded the Pléiade du Congo, a literary group in Kinshasa, and headed and helped found the International Centre for African Languages, Literatures and Traditions in favour of Development (CILTADE) at the Catholic University of Louvain. She has made important contributions in the study of Bantu linguistics and oral literature. She is also an award winning author of short stories and poetry.

Muzio Clementi: was a celebrated English, of Italian birth, classical composer, pianist, pedagogue, conductor, music publisher, editor, and piano manufacturer. He is credited with being the first to write specifically for the piano. He is best known for his piano sonatas, sonatinas, and his collection of piano studies, Gradus ad Parnassum. Nineteenth century enthusiasts called Clementi "the father of the pianoforte", "father of modern piano technique", "father of Romantic pianistic virtuosity", etc., judgments which have become overshadowed as Clementi has slipped into obscurity.

Pierre Clémenti: was a French actor. Clémenti studied drama and began his acting career in the theatre. He secured his first minor screen roles in 1960 in Yves Allégret's Chien de pique performing alongside Eddie Constantine. Arguably, his most famous role was that of gangster lover of bourgeois prostitute Catherine Deneuve in Belle de jour, the 1967 classic by Luis Buñuel, in whose film La voie lactée he played the Devil. He appeared in several highly regarded films of the period, working with many of Europe's best known directors, including Luchino Visconti (The Leopard), Pier Paolo Pasolini (Porcile) and Bernardo Bertolucci (The Conformist and Partner). Other directors he has worked with are Liliana Cavani, Glauber Rocha, and Miklós Jancsó.
