Cosmas Damian Asam: was born in Benediktbeuern. He became a painter and architect during the late Baroque period. In 1711, he moved to Rome to study at the Accademia di San Luca with Carlo Maratta and in 1713 won the Academy's first prize for his drawing of Miracle of Saint Pio. He worked with his brother Egid Quirin and their joint projects are often attributed to the "Asam Brothers". These include the Asam Church in Munich and the Cathedral of St. Jacob in Innsbruck. Cosmas Damian died in Munich.

His father, Teodor Cosma, was a pianist and conductor, his mother was a writer-composer, his uncle, Edgar Cosma, was a composer and conductor, and one of his grandmothers, a pianist, studied with the renowned Ferruccio Busoni.

Douglas Ivan Cosman: is a minister, businessman and former political figure in New Brunswick, Canada. He represented Kings East in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick from 1999 to 2003 as a Progressive Conservative member.He then served as a chaplain in the Royal Canadian Air Force until he retired from the Air Force in 1991. Cosman continue to serve the Church. With his wife, he operated a bed and breakfast and motel.
