Czeslaw Sobieraj: was a Polish sprint canoer who competed from the late 1930s to the late 1940s. He won a silver medal in the K-1 10000 m event at the 1938 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Vaxholm.Sobieraj also compted at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London, finishing seventh in the K-1 10000 m event while being eliminated in the semifinals of the K-1 1000 m event.

Czeslaw Janczarski: was a Polish writer of kids' books as well as a translator from the Russian language.In 1932 Janczarski began studies at the Lviv University, two years later he moved to the Warsaw University, where he studied Polish Philology. There, he got in touch with Jozef Czechowicz and other poets. Janczarski spent World War II in Lwow, between 1944 and 1946 he taught in a school in the area of Lublin, then returned to Warsaw. In the late 1940s, he started working for illustrated magazines for kids, such as Iskierki, Plomyczek and Swierszczyk, also cooperated with the Polish Radio.

In People's Republic of Poland, he was a member of the Polish parliament (Sejm) and held other governmental posts.
