Jaap Marais: was an attorney, an Afrikaner nationalist and the leader of the far-right South African political party, the Herstigte Nasionale Party, from 1977.Jaap Marais was thrown out of the Broederbond shortly after the HNP was formed, and later all other identified HNP members or sympathizers were also purged from the Broederbond.[citation needed]Under Jaap Marais' leadership, the party challenged the negotiating policies of the National Party. He tried in vain to obtain the co-operation of the Conservative Party under Andries Treurnicht.[citation needed] He proposed a Volksfront, being a coalition of all the right wing organizations with one objective only, to stop De Klerk on his path to handing over the reins of government to the ANC. Instead, in 1991, a Volksfront was created from the ranks of the Conservative Party, and led by Constand Viljoen. This organization spoke at first for the Afrikaans right wing, but in the end it registered to participate in the multi-racial elections of 1994. Under Jaap Marais, the HNP campaigned vigorously to persuade whites to boycott these multi-racial elections.

Jaap Blonk: is a Dutch avant-garde composer and performance artist.Blonk is primarily self-taught both as a sound artist and as a visual/stage performer.[1] He studied physics, mathematics, and musicology for a time, but did not complete his studies.[2] One of his early influences was Kurt Schwitters, whose Ursonate he first heard in 1979; he memorized the entire work, and it became one of the cornerstones of his repertory; he has recited portions of the piece hundreds of times in various public places.[2] His compositions and performances are examples of sound poetry

He is currently a professor of law at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, where he was the Dean of the Law Faculty from 1988 to 1992. Currently he is a deputy justice in the Court of Appeal of Amsterdam and he was a juvenile court judge in the district court of Alkmaar and the Hague (1978-1985).
