Tim Janssen: a Dutch footballer who currently plays for NEC Nijmegen. Janssen is a striker who was born in Eindhoven and made his debut in the professional football squad of FC Zwolle in the 2004-05 season. He also played for FC Eindhoven before joining RKC Waalwijk.In 2007 Janssen was called up by Jong Oranje coach Foppe de Haan to be part of his squad for the 2007 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship where they qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympics. In the semi-finals against England (1-1, 13-12 after 32 penalty kicks), Janssen came on as a substitute and scored both penalties he took during the series. The Dutch went on to retain their 2006 title by beating Serbia 4-1 in the final.

Pierre Jules César Janssen: was a French astronomer who, along with the English scientist Joseph Norman Lockyer, is credited with discovering the gas helium.anssen was born in Paris and studied mathematics and physics at the faculty of sciences. He taught at the lycée Charlemagne in 1853, and in the school of architecture 1865 – 1871, but his energies were mainly devoted to various scientific missions entrusted to him. Thus in 1857 he went to Peru in order to determine the magnetic equator; in 1861 – 1862 and 1864, he studied telluric absorption in the solar spectrum in Italy and Switzerland; in 1867 he carried out optical and magnetic experiments at the Azores; he successfully observed both transits of Venus, that of 1874 in Japan, that of 1882 at Oran in Algeria; and he took part in a long series of solar eclipse-expeditions, e.g. to Trani (1867), Guntur (1868), Algiers (1870), Siam (1875), the Caroline Islands (1883), and to Alcosebre in Spain (1905)

Paul Adriaan Jan, Baron Janssen: was the founder of Janssen Pharmaceutica, a pharmaceutical company with over 20,000 employees[1]. He achieved a postdoctorate in Pharmacology and is one of Belgium's most loved figures, even posthumously.Paul Janssen was the son of Constant Janssen and Margriet Fleerackers. On 16 April 1957, he married Dora Arts. Paul Janssen died in Rome, Italy in 2003, while attending the celebration of the 400th anniversary of the founding of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, of which he was a member since 1990[2]. He was survived by his widow, Dora Arts Janssen, two sons, three daughters and 13 grandchildren.
