Oldrich Nový: was a Czech film and theatre actor, director, composer, dramaturg and singer. He is considered one of the greatest actors of the Czech cinema in the first half of the 20th century.[1]His father Antonín Nový, a member of the Prague Fire Brigade, wanted him to become a typographer, but Oldrich showed passion for theatre from a young age. He was supported by his uncle Miloš Nový, a well-known actor of the National Theatre in Prague.[2] In 1916 Nový became involved with the amateur theatre group "Remeslnická beseda" and he also appeared in the popular cabaret "U labute". A year later he performed in the "Varieté" in Karlín.

Oldrich František Korte: is a Czech composer, pianist, publicist and writer.From 1943 to 1949 he studied at the Prague Conservatory, as a pupil of F. Pícha. He was forced to interrupt his studies in 1944-45, when he was imprisoned in a concentration camp.[1] Following the communist Victorious February in 1948 Korte was once more affected by the political situation in former Czechoslovakia. He was forced to find work out of the artistic professions.[1] Nevertheless, he never gave up his musical and literary activities, and gradually became a respected composer and pianist.[1]
