Huan Yanfan: was an official of the Chinese dynasty Tang Dynasty and Wu Zetian's Zhou Dynasty, serving as chancellor during the reign of Emperor Zhongzong. He was a key figure in the coup that overthrew Wu Zetian and restored Emperor Zhongzong in 705, but was later exiled due to false accusations instigated by Wu Zetian's nephew Wu Sansi and killed in exile in a cruel manner.

Du Huan: was a Chinese travel writer born in Chang'an during the Tang Dynasty. He was one of a few Chinese captured in the Battle of Talas along with artisans Fan Shu and Liu Ci and fabric weavers Le Wei and Lu Li, as mentioned in his writings. After a long journey through Arab countries, he returned by ship to Guangzhou in 762. There he wrote his Jingxingji, a work which was almost completely lost. A few extracts survived in Tongdian under volume 192 and 193, an encyclopaedia compiled in 801 by one of his relatives, Du You. In the 8th century, Du You's encyclopaedia quoted Du Huan himself on Molin (North or East Africa):

Xie Huan: was a Chinese painter of the early Ming Dynasty. He is best known for his painting of domestic settings, story-theme artwork, and landscape paintings.

Yu Huan: was a Chinese scholar and author from the Cao Wei. He was a native of what's now Xi'an, Shaanxi [1], and most notable for his writing of his work Weilue, also known as Dianlue [2], though some scholars thought that it could be a separated work. Both of which are no longer extant, however a chapter of Weilue was quoted as an extensive footnote to the Records of Three Kingdoms in the (30th) section of Wuhuan, Xianbei and Dongyi by Pei Songzhi during the 5th century, it served as an additional guide to the Western Regions on the book. The chapter has only survived because it was included as an extensive note to it.

Zhang Huan     Zhang Huan       Origin/Culture/Country: Chinese

Zhang Huan: is a Chinese artist based in Shanghai and New York. He made his BA at the He Nan University in Kai Fengin (1988) and his MA at the China Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing (1993). He is primarily a performance artist but also makes photographs and sculpture.Zhang’s performances always involve his body in one way or another, usually naked, occasionally involving masochistic actions. For example, an exhibited photography showed him as "a naked man, his head half-shaved, sitting in a prisonlike space. His skin was wet and covered with flies. His face looked blank but tough, as if he were trying to meditate his way through pain."[1]
