Stanislas Lami            Origin/Culture/Country: French

Stanislas Lami: was a French sculptor and art historian. Some of his works are on show in museums in Spain. The musée d'Orsay has his marble sculpture of a Chien danois (c.1892) - he also produced a Death-Mask of Berlioz (1884) now held at the bibliothèque de l'Opéra de Paris. He gave one of his works to his relation Charles de Gaulle. Stanislas Lami exhibited frequently at the Paris Salons, including that of 1897, and at the Chicago salon of 1893. In the end his descendents held onto the majority of his works (private collections of Thoury, Pellerin, Fargon, etc.).

Stanislas Du Lac            Origin/Culture/Country: French

Stanislas Du Lac: was a French Jesuit, an educationist and social worker, also an enigmatic figure in the background to the Dreyfus Affair. The following summer (1870), he was made rector of the new College of Sainte-Croix at Le Mans, where, during the Franco-Prussian war, he organized an efficient hospital service. During the ten months of his rectorship at Le Mans, twenty-two thousand soldiers sojourned successively in his college.

Stanislas Laugier: was a French surgeon and doctor, practising at the Hôtel-Dieu in Paris, a member of the Institut and of the Académie des Sciences, president and professor of the Académie de Médecine de Paris. He was buried in the cimetière du Père-Lachaise (57ème division).
