Hendrik Menso: was a Dutch politician.As a parliamentarian he agreed in 1848 on first reading at Chapters I and III (the States-General) of the new Constitution . At the second reading he voted before any proposals for revision. In elections in 1848 he was candidate member of parliament for the district of Amersfoort , but got only 70 votes (less than 10%). In 1846 he became a Knight in the Order of the Dutch Lion .

Wieger Emile Mensonides: is a former Dutch swimmer, who won the bronze medal in the 200 Metres Breaststroke at the 1960 Summer Olympics. For forty years he was the only Dutch swimmer who had won an olympic medal. Pieter van den Hoogenband followed in his footsteps at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney
