Dubois gained the favour of Louis XIV by bringing about the marriage of his pupil with Françoise-Marie de Bourbon, Mlle de Blois, a natural but legitimized daughter of the king and Mme de Montespan; and for this service he was rewarded with the gift of the abbey of St. Just in Picardy. He was present with his pupil at the Battle of Steenkerque, and "faced fire," says Marshal Luxembourg, "like a grenadier." Guillaume D'Estouteville: was a French ecclesiastic. He was bishop of Angers, then bishop of Digne, archbishop of Rouen, prior of Saint Martin des Champs, abbot of Mont St Michel, of St Ouen at Rouen, and of Montebourg. He was made a Cardinal in the consistory of 18 December 1439 by Pope Eugene IV, and later became Cardinal Bishop of Porto-Santa Rufina (1454), then Cardinal-Bishop of Ostia (1461) and Dean of the College of Cardinals (November 1472); he was a cardinal elector during the conclaves that elected Pope Nicholas V, Pope Paul II, and Pope Sixtus IV,

Guillaume Fillastre: was a French Cardinal, canonist, humanist, and geographer. After graduating as doctor juris utriusque, Fillastre taught jurisprudence at Reims, and in 1392 was appointed dean of its metropolitan chapter. During the Western Schism he showed at first much sympathy for Benedict XIII (Peter de Luna). In 1409, however, he took part in the attempt to reconcile the factions at the Council of Pisa. Antipope John XXIII conferred on him and his friend Pierre d'Ailly the dignity of cardinal (1411), and in 1413 he was made Archbishop of Aix. Fillastre took a very important part in the Council of Constance, where he and Cardinal d'Ailly were the first to agitate the question of the abdication of the rival claimants (February, 1415).

He is represented in a fresco at the Couvent des Jacobins at Saint-Sever[4] His coat of arms figures in the vaults of the church of Saint Dominique at Toulouse[5]; and did in the vaults of Bayonne Cathedral until the 19th century[6]

Pope Alexander III created him Cardinal Priest of Santa Sabina in March 1179; as such, he signed the papal bulls between 8 April 1179 and 23 December 1201. He died on 7 Sep 1202.

He was only seventeen when he successfully defended a man denounced by Joseph Fouché before the revolutionary tribunal of Nevers. From 1793 onwards he was an active agent of the exiled princes: he took part in the Royalist rising in Berry in 1796, and after the 18 Brumaire coup (9 November 1799), under the name of Paul Xavier, he tried to persuade Napoleon Bonaparte to recall the traditional monarchy.

Jean-Baptiste Claude Eugène Guillaume: was a French sculptor. Guillaume was a prolific writer, principally on sculpture and architecture of the Classic period and of the Italian Renaissance. He was elected member of the Académie Française in 1898, and in 1891 was sent to Rome as director of the Académie de France in that city. He held this position until 1904. He was also elected an honorary member of the Royal Academy, London, 1869, on the institution of that class.

In the 2009 European elections, she was the second candidate on the PS list in the South-East region, and was elected to the European Parliament.
