Juliusz Kaden-Bandrowski: was a Polish journalist and novelist.In 1907 he had begun working as a correspondent for the Polish press. After World War I, he associated with the Skamander group of Polish poets founded in 1918. From 1933-1939 he was general secretary of the Polish Academy of Literature (Polska Akademia Literatury).During World War II, Kaden-Bandrowski declined to leave German-occupied Warsaw, to which he had moved during the Interbellum.

Founder and first president of Supreme National Committee (Naczelny Komitet Narodowy), and supporter of the idea of Polish Legions. Buried at Rakowicki Cemetery.
