Jay Berger: is a former professional tennis player from the United States. He won three singles and one doubles title on the ATP Tour and reached his career-high singles ranking of World 7 in April 1990.Berger was the USTA Boys’ 18s National Champion in 1985. He also won the 1985 Florida State Junior Championship. He had the best finish of any reigning Boys’ 18s National Champion at the US Open during the Open Era when he reached the 4th round in 1985.

Jay Laurence Lush: was a pioneering animal geneticist who made important contributions to livestock breeding. He is sometimes known as the father of modern scientific animal breeding. Lush received National Medal of Science in 1968 and the Wolf Prize in 1979.Lush was introduced to mathematics and genetics during his B.Sc. studies of animal husbandry at the Kansas State Agricultural College (now Kansas State University [KSU]). He completed his M.Sc. in 1918 at KSU, and his Ph.D. in genetics at the University of Wisconsin (1922).Lush advocated breeding not based on subjective appearance of the animal, but on quantitative statistics and genetic information. Lush authored a classic book 'Animal Breeding Plans' in 1937 which greatly influenced animal breeding around the world.

Jay DeFeo: was a visual artist associated with the Beat generation who worked c.1950-1989 in the San Francisco Bay Area.She had been exposed to North American native art in her Berkeley studies, thanks to Margaret Peterson O'Hagan; while in England she studied African and prehistoric art in London libraries. She spent a brief time working in Paris, traveling in Europe and North Africa, and for 6 months working in Florence, where she started to find her own kind of imagery.Upon returning to Berkeley she rented an apartment where she continued her exploration with image and materials. Jay Douglas Haley: was one of the more influential psychotherapists of the 20th century.[2] He was one of the founding figures of brief and family therapy and one of the more accomplished teachers, supervisors, and authors in these disciplines.[3] Conceived in a log cabin on his family's homestead in Montana, Haley was born in Midwest, Wyoming. His family moved to Berkeley, California when he was 4. After serving in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II, he attended UCLA where he received a BA in Theater Arts. During his undergraduate years, Haley published a short story in The New Yorker.[4] After a year spent in pursuit of a career as a playwright, he returned to California and received a Bachelors of Library Science degree from University of California at Berkeley and then a Masters Degree in Communication from Stanford University
