Anthony Hopkins in “Westworld”

The provocative, yet flawed, science-fiction thriller, “Westworld” stars Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Robert Ford. The HBO series is set in a theme park that is run by Ford, where some wealthy “guests” can live out frontier fantasies among some lifelike robots that act as “hosts”.

Viewers will notice that these fantasies mostly revolve around rape, torture and murder. In fact, the park’s robot hosts are in for it all, from the guests murdering them to raping them, only to be doused in realistic blood and then getting repaired. The next step for these robots is their memory is erased and they are returned to service.

Dr. Ford could be the head of a drama department or a haunted house with all the happens in the park. In the end, things start to go wrong as the hosts go haywire with a new software update that helps them to remember their hellish past.
