The London-based makeup artist, Babs Forman is experienced in doing hairstyles and make-up for print and film. She trained at the highly acclaimed Delamar Academy at Ealing Studios to learn about different medias.

 

In 2013, she was showcased by RAW as a natural born artist, for her ability to adapt her work to any situation, from film to tv, music to theater, fashion or even beauty. He work can be seen on Channel 4, BBC, ITV, on stage, commercials, online magazines and in many film festivals.

 

Not only that but she is also a skin camouflage practitioner who utilizes her ability in special effects and uses makeup to hide scars and skin imperfections. According to Forman, she hated the idea that there might be someone out there who is not living a full life because they are self-conscious about their skin.

 

In 2016, Forman was named one of the more inspirational and influential women in the world by BBC. She was awarded for her work with people, helping them to transform using make-up. She was inspired after she visited the burn units at a military hospital in Belgium and saw the impact and effect scars can have.

 

The feminine name Babs is a diminutive of Barbara, which is derived from the Greek word barbaros that means “foreign”. The name became popular after Saint Barbara, who was a young woman that was killed by her own father Dioscorus, who died from a lightning strike afterward according to legend.
