Dalton Prager Prays For His Wife

The real “Fault in Our Stars” couple, is battling cystic fibrosis and it is not going as planned. It started with Katie Prager, who eventually found a lung transplant after battling with Medicare, Medicaid about money. Then, when her story hit the news, she received the transplant.

Katie’s husband, Dalton Prager also got a transplant for his cystic fibrosis. Afterward, they dreamed of traveling across America and sharing their love story in a book. However, Katie was put into hospice just last week, as her transplant is not working. Furthermore, there is nothing that the doctors can do to save her.

To top it all off Dalton is fighting against other medical problems, having contracted lymphoma because of the transplant. He has been treated for the lymphoma, but has now caught pneumonia and a virus, and is in the hospital.

The plan is to get the two love birds together. Dalton will fly down to the University of Kentucky Medical Center to be close to Katie.

The name Dalton is taken from the English surname that is a place name in Old English that means “valley town”.
