Considering the track record Donald Trump has for instigating feuds, the poll numbers have been plummeting. The Republican leaders have been discussing how much distance candidates show have from the presidential nominee.

Most Republicans have started to act against the tirade Trump has been on, and if elected they will stand up to him. However, some Republicans are taking things even further – urging voters to vote for Hillary Clinton so that Trump will be defeated. For the most part, most of the Republicans are hoping that Donald Trump does not tarnish the parties’ image or set a new standard.

Right now, Trump is in a precarious position, and as most candidates are navigating around him. This might put the party’s ability to get a substantial majority in jeopardy. Even if Trump is elected, most candidates with a leading ticket may use another strategy anyways.
